THOMPSON 52 PROJECT

THOMSON 52 SCHEMATIC DESIGN PROJECT
for NOVA company

Location: 52 Thompson St, New York, NY
Year: 2022
Type: residential

Architecture team: Viktoria Shmidt, Jorge Ortiz, Kateryna Kovalchuk, Helen Trokhymchuk, Alina Barsehian, Ivan Kucherenko

The project is located in Manhattan, New York, at the intersection of Thompson and Broome streets. The main task was to combine two plots and design a residential complex of comfort class with all amenities for residents.

There is a house with a small courtyard on the plot. On the first floor, there is a spacious lobby, restaurant, commercial premises and a recreation room for residents, which is combined with a green courtyard. From the 2nd to the 13th floor there are residential apartments, and from the 14th - apartments with terraces and two-level penthouses.

The volume of the building and the height are shaped by the spatial limitations of the central region of New York. The facades are made of stone of light shades, copper inserts and large windows. The style of the building is made in the conterporary style of early modern American skyscrapers, which is harmoniously combined with the surrounding buildings of the district and is at the same time a unique residential complex.
